6?!!?

um, so i have to list 6 habits or facts about myself in response to carrie's tag. sorry it took me a while. so here goes....
1. i like movies too much for my own good. it's not a healthy habit. and i like a lot of movies, but i do not actually have a favorite.
2. i play with my bottom lip when i get nervous or bored. it tends to weird some people out but whatever...
3. i have had a headache (some worse than others) almost every day since eighth grade. i went to a regular doctor and a neurologist for it. proof, once again, that doctors don't know as much as they like to think they do.
4. my favorite color is called brick red. it's something i discovered back in elementary school and was literally the crayon i used mostest. in fact the color i'm currently writing in is pretty much brick red.
5. back at home in woburn, sometimes when i got mad i would hide so when mom came looking for me she couldn't find me. i'd come out when i knew if i didn't show up i'd be in even more trouble. i had to change up a few places just to keep it lively.
6. before i can use something new, i have to make sure the old one is used up. like chapstick or a pen. i don't know why but it bugs the heck out of me. i also like to use the same pen for a certain class (like for my rec management classes i use red, i refuse to use any other color). it's just one of those things.

anyone i might have considered tagging has already been tagged. so, go read everyone else's blogs to find more about them.
x's and o's!

so...

well people, i am not exciting. i don't have pictures to show you so i don't know why you would look at my blog. no pictures, no excitement. but hey i'll try to improvise. so here goes.
since september life has become a bit more hectic. lots of work for school. i'm keeping up pretty well so i'm hoping the rest of the semester goes well. i'm pretty sure on my major now and i'm working on planning for the rest of my school life. even taking a class that does field observations that allows us to see s0me of our career options for our major. pretty nifty.
i'm also looking into a job in alaska in hopes i can make some good money so i can pay for a study abroad to new zealand. i've been talking to a couple people about it and learning some specifics to see if it will be worth it to work up in alaska. we'll see.................................................................

sadly, i will not be joining most of the family out here for thanksgiving. i have to work thanksgiving day as well as the day after. talk about a way to ruin a vacation. oh well, working won't kill me. thankfully i was able to visit nicole and chris a couple of weeks ago with katy micah and jamie so i won't be missing out on too much. i think.

so i'm just working on school stuff as of late. there's a chance i might be right on schedule, even a little ahead of it. sweet dizzle.
anyways, have a great day. sorry about no pictures but that's how it goes.

hate is a strong word

so. school. yeah, i'm attending it. i'm taking a few classes and such. i really scored on the professor side too. i really lucked out with them. they're all pretty cool and i'm excited to be taking the classes with them. no homework yet, except for reading. but that is to be changed soon. i think the first hard copy assignment begins tomorrow or something like unto that.
work's going all right too. it's different out here but that was totally expected. you can't be in utah and expect it to be anything like back home. i like it for the most part. i just hope they start scheduling me for a few more hours than i've been getting so far.
saturday i went with cris to a xc meet here in provo. i was a volunteer so they stuck me at the end collecting the numbers and putting them in order of finish. so i got to see a lot of sweaty and smelly boys. it was pretty amazing watching runners who are even more amazing than anyone i've ever seen. some high school kid did a sub 15 for the 5k. no one was anywhere close to touching him. it was amazing. my old roommate's brother and sister were both running as well so i got to cheer them on a little bit. i almost missed running, but not really. practice was fun but the races bit the big one. i hated races soooooooo much. here they didn't have any hills, which i used to think was mandatory for a course to be considered for a race. pshh, it was pathetic.
it's been great to have family nearby. i see bryce and lisa more than i think even they care to. and betsy and katy and i are all getting along quite well living together....so far. i even get to se micah and tanner a lot as well. it's like a party every day at our apartment. it's great. should happen more often.
well life is golden. so to speak. so yeah. school's gonna start picking up soon so life will continue as we tend to know it.

fo shizzle

so i'm back in utah. for school and such. out early for my other roommate's wedding. it was fun to go to the reception and see my friends. one of my fhe brothers from last year flew out for the wedding. he leaves for his mission in about a week and a half. so it was fun seeing him before he heads out.
things are kind of crazy. trying to get things squared away with my banking and tuition and all that type of stuff. trying to be responsible and a big girl. went wakeboarding first day out. which was fun. helped (more or less...) bryce and lisa move in this morning. so yeah. getting things squared away. not sure when it will completely sink in that i'm in the next stage of school.
here's to an interesting year...

so here's the deal

kid, this is weird. going back to utah in about ten days. i don't know how i can handle that....but it's all good, it should be a good year. i really am sort of looking forward to it. i should probably start going through my things to decide what i'm going to take back out to school with me.

besides that...nothing's been going on. just been working and rarely sticking my head out in public with a friend or sibling. still teaching my beamers, i have 6 in my class, me being the only teacher, but thankfully there have been days when a few would not be there. it's been fun, interesting definitely. basically i'm not planning on becoming an elementary school level teacher. or preschool. or any teacher for that matter. i don't think i could handle it as much as i like to pretend i can. it's been a good experience though. and i appreciate that.
yeah, so that's it.

oh and nicole, i got the third book in the twilight series the other day. haven't started it yet, trying to save it for the plane ride out, but i might give in....

have a splendiferous day!!!

just editing some things out...

so...i cut my hair. now it's layered and angled and not as long as it used to be. i like it though, but i'm kind of sad my long hair is gone. but it was time for a change. and mom happened to offer one. so here are the pictures....
life's still going good. working mostly, but i'm about to go read harry potter so i can finish it before nicole does. or at least that's the plan...

olé!!

so yeah, it's been a while. but it's always because i never have much to say anyways...
so let's see. i've been working a lot. usually only get one day off during the week and then sundays. never really do anything special. i'm planning on making a dress but so far we've only got part of the fabric cut out. i need to work on that and soon...
lisa michelle and soapy came and visited for a little bit a couple of weeks ago. that was fun seeing them both. way excited to see them all during the school year out in good old provo. we are going to have some pretty sick parties when we finally get to get all of us together. can't wait for that, it's definitely the best part of utah...
nate baird and dave bennett are back from the missions. fun to see them again. it's kind of weird but also like they never really left in the first place either. who knows. they both had some pretty neat experiences and we actually were able to go to dave's homecoming talk this morning. it was really good. i enjoyed it and then getting to talk to them both afterwards. it's weird to think that they're back and all the guys i know from school are all on their missions or in the process of sending in their papers. i always thought the missionaries were old, apparently they really weren't...
and for all of you who have been left out of the loop for the past week or so (probably longer cuz i haven't really talked to many people about it...) anyways, yeah i'm not dating a certain someone any more. i decided we needed to step back and it seems to be a bit better now. it's a little weird and i didn't think he'd get it at first, and he didn't, but now it all appears to be working towards the right direction. never thought i'd have an offer of marriage at nineteen but hey, life's full of surprises and i'm just here to find them. that's basically what's been going on. i haven't had any dates yet, but there have been at least hints of something like a date from a couple of guys, but i haven't seen anything come out of the hints yet.
anyways, that's life. nothing thrilling or exciting, but i'm making my way through it. hope life is extraordinarily well for you all!!

she got married. weird.

so here it is. at least one picture from the wedding. it was so weird to see her married but what can you do about it? it was a nice set up, simple but elegant. she was gorgeous. this picture is actually all but one of the roommates. the other one couldn't come because her cousin was getting married.
the one on the other side of bri is also getting married, in august. so yeah, that's also weird. and no, i'm not jumping on that bandwagon any time soon. just so you know.
life's going good. working and stuff. so yeah. that's about it.
have fun doing whatnot.

snails see the benefit of beauty in every inch

so in case you were curious. i did make it through my wisdom teeth surgery alive. the first tooth just kind of popped out and the second wasn't too bad either. my left side kind of got swollen but not anything drastic.
i also got a summer job. at sports authority. lots of fun. get a discount. that's pretty nifty. or so i like to think. we'll see when i actually start buying stuff.
and yeah life goes. and there you have it.

anthem of our dying day

so here it is. the day i've been dreading all semester. the removal of my wisdom teeth by dr. daniel leo mccall himself. should be a fun day. can't wait. the countdown is 45 minutes and decreasing steadily.
in case i die, all things should be split evenly. course there isn't much to be had, but still...please don't cremate me, that would be horrible. i don't like the idea of being burned. and i want pretty flowers at my funeral. none of those weird ugly ones.
and yeah, that's basically it. so long, farewell. adieu.

Friday, April 20, 2007

it's a game of give and take

so i just wanted to share my happy news. my group received 138/150 on our Ad Campaign. (that's a 92 p.s.) the ad campaign was our work for the whole semester in that class and the fact we did so well, makes me really happy. what we had to do was form a whole new campaign for a company/brand that he chose for us. we had our presentation of the campaign on monday and our whole campaign was graded.
and the other happy news is that on my ad file i got a 90. that was something else we had to work on over the semester. we had to find all these ads for certain styles and types. there were at least 60 ads we had to find, and then we had to put them into a book and make it look all nice, etc.
so yeah, that was my class i was fearing the most. and i'm doing pretty well on it. which is awesome.
home in 6 days!!!
19 in 12!!!

captain pahkah!! captain pahkah!!

HAPPY PATRIOTS' DAY!!!!!
So today is the official real day of the American Revolution. Sadly, it was really celebrated on Monday in Boston, and I was unable to attend as I was stuck out here in Utah. But it's okay, I will make it through.

Monday, April 16, 2007

and i'm already gone

dang. this semester has stinking flown by so fast, it's ridiculous. i can't believe it. i'll be home in a week and a half. that's just weird. heck the whole idea of me even being in college is weird, but hey...
life's going good. had my advertising presentation today. it went pretty well. but that could be just me. had to dress up for it, which by the way was a major pain in the neck. i have my first final tomorrow: sign language. should be lots of fun. in fact the whole week should be lots of fun. finals are all that's going to be happening around here...
so today. was walking out of the library and guess who i saw. yep that's right, the one and only elder jason arias. had to do a double take to decide if it was him or not. and it was him. we talked for a little bit. it was kind of fun. weird cuz he's a missionary but still nice to run into him. he's freaking tall!!!! i barely came to his chest. i've never felt so short in my life.
life's going. as we all expect it to be. roommate gets married in 6 weeks. scary!!! yeah, can't wait to be home. near a beach. cuz that's where i really want to go right now.
10 days til i'm home!!!
16 days til i'm 19!!!!

Thursday, April 5, 2007

...and he don't know....

so it's been a good day. didn't do too much, but practiced for my test in sign. i had to sign a children's book to the class. it was interesting. the author and artist of the book are from boston, so that was pretty cool. and then i had work. which seemed pretty long but short at the same time. i guess it was just one of those times...next thursday is harry potter night. they bought us robes to wear and we're supposed to wear a white collared shirt and tie to go with the outfit. should be fun. i like theme nights. and harry potter. so it's a good combination on their part.
when i got back i ran into one of my home teachers. he opened his mission call tonight and wanted me to come for it (he's going to new mexico). still trying to get used to the idea that missionaries are my age. yeah hasn't sunk in.
the other news i have to share is my roommate is engaged. we all predicted it but it's still kind of weird to think she's getting married soon. i'm actually a day older than her, and maybe that's what scares me about it. then again, she's way more mature than i am, and i figure that makes a world of difference. no mom, i'm not getting any ideas.
last night was movie night with betsy, tanner, katy, micah, paul and i. it's fun. i like movies. a lot. it's usually the only time i get to see betsy besides sundays so yeah...saw night at the museum. i think i liked it better the second time around.
conference was cool. i've only ever been to the conference center for the christmas devotional so it was nice to be there for conference. however, waking up at 5:30 a.m. to go was not fun. whatever, didn't make too much of a difference. i still got to sleep a little bit. it was cool being that close to the prophet. could actually see him pretty clearly.
i'll also be going up this sunday for the easter broadcast thing in the tabernacle (paul's parents again...). it's the motab's first broadcast in there and i'll get to be there for it. cool. never been.
anyways, it's late. i think i'm going to go to bed now. well, maybe. we'll see.
20 days til i'm home!!
26 days til i'm 19!!!!!!

Monday, April 2, 2007

sooner or later, you're gonna hate it

so yeah, life's going dandy. school's really starting to pick up, what with finals just a couple weeks away. got to get all the last minute assignments in so they can test us on it. i think i might be able to get them all done, so i'm pretty pumped. bring it on!!
conference was good. actually quite proud of myself for staying awake through the whole thing. we left at 6 in the a.m. because paul's parents had to be there early for their motab thingy. slept in the car and stuff. and his mom packed us lunch. it was more ike a bunch of groceries, so she wouldn't forget anything and that we'd be sure to eat something. it was funny.
tired. but i'm always tired. so that's no shocker. going to go get something done. cuz i figured you might have wanted to hear from me. so yeah, i'm alive.
have a grandiose day!

Thursday, March 15, 2007

...what will happen next i don't wanna know...

so nothing terribly exciting has been going on. school, work, hanging out with the roomies and such. so yeah, i'm a thrilling person. clearly.
the weather is getting really warm. lots of people in shorts and t-shirts. myself included, although i'm still a tad chilly. wear long sleeves with the shorts at least. it's gorgeous though. we should start the spring firsts because i totally have a few to claim. like new grass and robins. i've already seen them. oh and a kite. so yeah, we should get on that...
it's been a great week. for me at least. maybe not for some. i'm even learning to keep my room clean. or at least somewhat clean. i put my clothes away and everything. :) granted it's a small room and i'm not the only one living in there. but hey, i'm proud of myself. i can even find a few things. except i lost one of my rings. it's actually my favorite ring. i lost it on sunday i think at work. but i'm not sure. but i'm quite sad about it. i think i lost something else, but now that i try to think of what i can't remember. oh and my noah's ark ctr ring broke too. i can still wear it so it's fine, but it broke. and that's kind of sad too.
last night us sisters pulled a triple and went to the movies with the guys. saw pursuit of happyness and this time i didn't miss the crucial part at the end. good movie. you should see it sometime. oh yeah, and there's some movie you should watch. it's called heart and souls. you'll like it. so get on that. anyways, off to class in a little bit. later dudes.

Thursday, March 8, 2007

and that's a solid fact

so life's going. as it always does. i'm not terribly exciting, as you can tell. this morning i woke up at 5:30 to go to the temple (my first trip, how pathetic!!). but it was good. we were supposed to go as a ward, but only about 15 of us showed up. but it payed off, because they pushed us through quite quickly. it's so weird how they do it, i'm not used to it. i was still expecting it to be like back home, when you have to provide your own priesthood. oh well, still a good experience.
the weather's warming up which is a plus. and i can't wait to go up to carrie's in a couple of weeks. i've been seeing little kids all over the place, and i'm going through withdrawals. i need to see my nieces and nephews and soon!!! i'm actually going to make dinner that weekend too, so it'll be interesting. it's only a couple weeks away, that's all that's keeping me alive!!!
classes are going good. i LOVE my sign language class. it's sooooooo fun to talk in Sign and people just staring at you like you're a weirdo. it's pretty cool, and my teacher's amazing. she's deaf so there's absolutely no real talking, only sign. if worse comes to worst she writes it on the board, if we can't understand her. my other classes are going well too. i have to go finish a couple things but have a marvelous day!

Monday, February 26, 2007

and all i want to do is look at you and know that i'm okay

it's kind of interesting to watch how much can change in just a matter of weeks. i don't know, it's been kind of crazy. maybe it was the Presidents' day vacation thing that threw me off. not sure. school's still going all right. staying ahead for the most part, and it's starting to pick up. it's hard to believe that it's already midterms. it really does not seem like it's been that long. weird.
a couple of my roommates have been sick lately. i really hope i don't catch anything. the last thing i want to be is sick. i hate it. friday night katy and i went to mr. heritage pageant. 4 guys from my ward were in the running and my roommate, megan, was the mc for it. it was really good. a tad long but it was totally entertaining so worth the wait. the guy who ended up winning (get this mark!!!) was taylor williams, the guy mark was trying to get me to find out here. his talent was doing the napoleon dynamite dance. and he looked exactly like napoleon dynamite. he was hilarious. it was pretty fun to go to. and i guess this counts as finding that dude too.
so the picture, i guess i should explain. after mr. heritage my friends, ben and jon, decided that they wanted to make something in the snow. and that something happened to be a chinese dragon in celebration of chinese new year. they nominated me to help them, along with a roommate and a couple other people ended up joining in. i didn't do too much, but i did help. i went to bed at 2 before they even finished. they ended up staying up until 3-3:30ish to finish it. then the next morning jon came and got me to help color the dragon (food coloring and water). everyone loves it, as they should. these random people were driving by and pulled into the parking lot and asked if they could get a picture with it. it's pretty amazing. so yeah, i thought i would share.
have a grandiose day!!!!

Monday, February 19, 2007

for a second i wish the tide would swallow every inch of this city...

well it's always a fun week when you get to be me. um, well not really. i think the highlight of my week was my valentine's day date. i got to baby-sit for aleisha (tanner's sister). her boys are adorable and way fun. i even got a kiss from dewey, her 1-year-old. it was way better than anything else i might have been doing. i miss not having little kids around so this was a good idea. i also found out that the kid i like may like me back. so that made me happy. but we're not going into details...
work's going all right. i have to work tonight, because they switched schedules. but i still get to go to fhe because that's post poned until tomorrow. so no worries!! i really like work, or at least some of the people i work with. it's way more fun when you have the right people to work with. a lot of people have been gone this weekend due to the day off. my fhe brother went home on friday to open his mission call. it was really exciting, he called us at midnight to let us know. it's so weird to be the same age as the missionaries now. i'm still not used to it. and speaking of missionaries, mom, since when did you have them over for dinner? go figure the scottish one's there when i'm not. how depressing....
anyways, doing laundry and i have to write a paper for my living prophets class. due wednesday. but since i don't have anything to do until 4:30 i might as well do it today.

Monday, February 12, 2007

...standing on the rooftops, everybody scream your heart out...

so this weekend was tons of fun. we left later than expected but still got to nicole's at a decent time. i just want to point out that i woke up early on friday to get some extra homework done before the weekend. kids are hilarious and tons of fun. i got in trouble with kenzie for sticking my tongut out at her so i had to got stand in the corner until she said i could get out. it was kind of funny, but hey, i did the crime, i'll do the time.
so this is a picture from when i went to the hot springs with a couple roommates and my fhe brother. the 3 in the middle are my roommates, the other girl on the end is his sister. just thought i'd share. working on the school things. hopefully i'll get ahead. we'll see though...

Thursday, February 8, 2007

this is that.

so i found out how to upload pictures (thanks brian!!!) and figured i'd post one for ya. life's going all right. i had really hard time sleeping last night. i have no idea why, but i just could not sleep. i would keep waking up. it was bad. but i'm doing all right. studying for a test for tomorrow, so i can take it before i leave for nikki's tomorrow. i need to get away from campus for a little bit so this will be good.
hope all is well!! i'm off to pretend to get something done....

Saturday, February 3, 2007

blah and such

so life's going. went to the gymnastics meet today, 4 of the girls on the team are in my ward. i really like watching that. reminds me how much i can't do. it was good though. we won. i actually ended up waking up because someone was banging on my door screaming ward party. but afterwards went to work, which was really slow. or at least it seemed that way because i was really tired. i should work on that. not much has really been going on. i went on the second date last night with that kid. we went to divine comedy. i really liked it. a whole lot funnier than i thought it was going to be. but i made a realization. one of the girls that is part of divine comedy is the girl in the kurt metzger movie "footsteps of faith". she was the really annoying girl, maggie, that got the hott kid, nephi. i guess only mom or betsy or laree would understand who i'm talking about. but yeah, it was definitely her.
life's going good. can't wait to go visit nicole next weekend. should be lots of fun. have a nice day.

Monday, January 29, 2007

you wanted to know...?

i guess you wanted to hear about that date thingy. and i guess that means i have to tell you about it. so here goes. his name is david. i work with him at the cannon center. he served his mission in the canary islands, and he was the group right behind jamie, or something like that. we went to a movie, night at the museum. it was a good movie, interesting but good. he held doors opened and walked me to my door. nice kid.
but not sure i like him that way. mom has already said that it's a bad thing that he's 22 and that apparently that's either too old or the whole i'm not ready thing. but yeah. whatever. i'll figure something out. have a nice day. cuz that's basically it.

Friday, January 26, 2007

yeah, by the way

so i know you're all dying to know the latest of my day...
tonight i am working 2-6 for a girl who hurt her shoulder. this basically means i get to spend 4 hours with jamie, at work. should be lots of fun. also planning on joining katy and betsy for their girls night sleepover. not sure, because i need to be back tomorrow morning by 10 to teach abs for the relief society saturday morning excercise thingy ma bobby. can't wait. it'll be the most exercise i've done since september. oh well, i'll live.
last night, at peter pan night at work, i dressed up as a pirate. it was sort of supposed to be smee but you know, you can only use what you have. it was lots of fun, even though very few people dressed up. no worries, there are pictures, and i'm sure once they get developed i'll be able to send them your way. we'll see...
spent my morning with katy, studying and we got some mba school stuff to send to laura lapierre. i really hope she decides to come here, cuz that would be soooooo much fun. she'd like it, i think. but yeah, it was fun to just spend the morning with katy. won't get to see her sunday, i have to work all day so, yeah, missing out on that.
anyways, i need to start getting ready for work. lots of fun, you wish you could be me.
oh yeah, p.s. i have a date tonight.

Wednesday, January 24, 2007

yep yep

you know, i'm sure i'll figure this out eventually. so don't you worry. there comes a time when it may be possible to post this thing on the family thing.

but until then, this is what you get to look at. so enjoy. cuz i say so.

day's going well and all that good stuff. did a no voice lab tonight for my sign language class. it's fun cuz we can't talk at all for an hour: we just sign. learning lots of good words to use when i get back home so no one will know what i'm saying. can't wait to use and abuse.

not much else is happening here. just school and work. tomorrow night is peter pan night at work. that means i get to dress up as a peter pan character. i'm planning along the lines of mr. smee. or i thought of being the second star to the right. we'll see. not sure which one yet.

yeah. so um, that's basically it. have a grandiose day!!

Tuesday, January 23, 2007

ummmm...?

so once again, i probably did this wrong. but it is a blog, so at least it's a start. nothing has been going on really. i'm alive and well, for the most part. classes are good. i really like all my teachers and discovered that my living prophets teacher served his mission in boston, ten years ago. he knows of the arlington ward but never served there because he was an ap so served in belmont, or at least i think so. he said he also spent a lot of his time in cambridge...
anyways, other than that: my roommates are still pretty good. having a few issues with one of them but i'm working on it. or at least i'm pretending to. you know me, ignore the arguments and just have the responses in my head instead of out loud. or at least most of them i'm able to keep to myself. it's really cold here and i don't really like that. my bedroom is always freezing and it drives me insane. my hands are really cold right now. oh well, i'll make it through.
hope you have an amazing day though, cuz i'm kind of hoping mine goes like that!
