steve finally felt baby move for the first time last night!!! yay!!

this week marks the last days of having to wake up at 4 a.m. for work! thank goodness! 

summer camp at work starts next week and as such, i don't need to wake up early enough to open the rec center BECAUSE they decided not to add me to the june schedule. FANTASTIC!

and this is 22 weeks

for those who don't know we are having a BOY!!!! i actually wanted a boy, steve claims he didn't care.

i feel bigger than i'm told i actually am. but i have been able to feel our wee guy move, and actually first felt him kick on my birthday! how great his timing is!!!

steve still has not been able to feel him but we're hoping that will come along soon!

progress at 18

yesterday we went in for a check-up on baby.

steve and i both had to have blood drawn, steve to test for cystic fibrosis and me to test for down's syndrome.

originally my doctor said we would be able to find out gender by week 18 but when we went to schedule the appointment he had told them to schedule it 2 weeks out.

now i have to WAIT 2 more weeks!

BUT on the good side of things, we got to hear the baby's heartbeat, it was SO cool!!!

it's great to know s/he is still going strong!

i am also getting bigger, but people have still pointed out it doesn't really look like much. like i said before though, it's the only indication i have to know baby is still growing since i don't know if i've felt her/him move yet. :)

15 weeks!

out of nowhere i started showing. just ask laree!

this is me at about 15 weeks...and i swear i'm not forcing it out, i'm relaxed...(in case the face suggests otherwise)

i also think i'm getting bigger by the day. i feel bigger today than i did yesterday.

BUT it means the baby's growing and right now that's the only indication i have that s/he is still doing okay!

we find out gender in about three weeks!

cystic fibrosis.

we found out yesterday that i am a carrier for cystic fibrosis.

my sisters katy and lisa also are so i knew to expect the possibility.

so...steve will be tested at our next appointment and we'll go from there.

there's no need to worry unless steve's test comes back positive.

but just thought i'd put out the fyi.

yes, this is indeed real, serious, and a little weird. BUT steve and i are expecting a baby to grace our presence this year. september to be exact.

we find out mid-april if it's a boy or girl!!!

be excited cuz we most definitely are!!!

we have internet!!!!!!!!!!!!
